Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sovyr Software, Inc. (“Sovyr”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TapTidy iOS app and keyboard (“TapTidy”). By using TapTidy, you agree to the practices described here.

You provide the text you choose to correct, and any information you include when you contact us for support or send feedback. TapTidy does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the keyboard.

iOS lets third-party keyboards request “Full Access.” Full Access allows a keyboard to communicate over the network, including with our servers. TapTidy needs Full Access so it can send the text you choose to correct for processing and return a suggestion.

TapTidy does not use Full Access to read your contacts, location, photos, or other apps' data. You can turn Full Access off at any time in iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → TapTidy; correction features will not work without it. iOS always switches to the system keyboard in secure fields such as passwords, so TapTidy never sees that text.

TapTidy processes text only when you explicitly request a correction by tapping the sparkle icon. At that moment, the text in the current input field (or your selection) is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers, which forward it to an AI service to generate a suggestion and return it to your keyboard.

Ordinary typing is not sent anywhere. You review each suggestion and choose to confirm, retry, or cancel.

Text submitted for correction is shared with third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) solely to generate your suggestion. These providers process the text on our behalf under their business API terms, which prohibit using API data to train their models. A provider may temporarily retain submitted data (typically up to 30 days) for abuse and security monitoring before deleting it.

We do not store the content of text you submit for correction after the suggestion is returned, and we do not keep a history of your corrections on our servers. We keep limited operational data, such as an anonymous usage count to enforce the daily free limit and standard server logs without message content, for up to 30 days. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.

All communication between the keyboard and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We limit access to our systems to authorized personnel and use reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Separate from keyboard text, we may receive aggregated usage and diagnostic information, such as app version, device type, crash reports, and how many corrections are used, through Apple's App Store Connect (if you have chosen to share analytics with developers) and our own services. Analytics and diagnostics never include the content of your text.

TapTidy does not require an account. To apply your daily free allowance and unlock purchases, the app uses an anonymous, randomly generated app identifier and your App Store purchase status. This identifier is not linked to your name or email.

Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment card details. We receive purchase status and transaction information from Apple to unlock premium access. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. To make a request, email rober@sovyr.io. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from your device.

TapTidy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, where required, notify you in the app.
